It has a 1,293 km long fiber network, a DWDM network with ultimate capacity of 40 lambdas of 10 Gbps and currently equipped with 2 lambdas of 2.5 Gbps and 1 lambda of 10 Gbps.
The DWDM and SDH network provides connection to the nodes of Tumbes, Talara, Zorritos, Piura, Chiclayo, Guadalupe, Trujillo, Chimbote, Huarmey, Paramonga, Huacho and San Juan-Lima.
The satellite connectivity service provided through the geostationary satellite Intelsat 814, which has its footprint in all of South America, are integrated with the terrestrial network.
On this transport network, networks of layer 2 and layer 3 have been implemented with MPLS and IP technology equipment which diversify the service portfolio.
In the Central and Southern areas of Peru INTERNEXA has deployed a fiber optic network of over 1,300 km throughout the electrical infrastructure; thus allowing for the first time in the history of Peru that iconic locations, such as the city of Cusco, have access to communication networks of very high speed and latest technology, thus ensuring the advanced development of broadband in this country.
Over the fiber optic network line, we find that like Cusco, important cities in Peru such as Pucallpa, Arequipa, Huancayo, Huancavelica, Abancay, Andahuaylas, Huanuco, among other locations, can also rely on the freedom of having a fiber optic network in the development of communications.
